✝️ Easter Greetings

Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

As we celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, we are reminded that death has no power over us. The joy of Easter strengthens our mission to walk in the light of Christ, proclaim His victory, and renew our hope. May this season fill our hearts with peace, courage, and deeper love for God and neighbour.

🙏 1. Monthly Pilgrimage to Mti wa Maria
The first Saturday pilgrimage to Mti wa Maria in Galderana/Lolora continues to grow. This month, more families and youth participated in the Marian Pilgrimage: Catholic Catechism about the Church of Christ, Rosary procession, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Input on the Sorrows of Mary, confessions and prayers of devotion under the tree of Our Lady. We thank the prayer groups, Salesian Community and Parish leaders who are encouraging this devotion. Let us continue to seek peace and healing through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

🌱 2. Greenhouse Project Kicks Off!
We’ve officially begun preparing our community greenhouse! soon Seeds ill  arrive, including tomatoes, sukuma wiki, spinach, onions, and more. We thank our friends and benefactors who support our integral ecology efforts. This initiative aims to promote food security and train young people, schools and the parish in sustainable agriculture. Whole heartedly we welcome groups who want to bench mark and be of value to the society in the line of sustainable agriculture.

📚 3. Laisamis Deanery Altar Servers Jubilee Pilgrimage
The Altar Servers held their Jubilee Pilgrimage at Don Bosco Mission Korr from 11th to 12th April 2025 under the theme “Anchored in HopePilgrims with the Altar Servers.” The event brought together boys and girls who serve at the altar from the following Parishes: Don Bosco Mission Korr, Kargi, and Laisamis for a time of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. Highlights of the pilgrimage included formation sessions, adoration, mass and a meaningful journey to Mti wa Maria, where they spent time in Marian devotion and silent prayer. The event concluded with the celebration of Holy Mass and a joyful send-off, as the altar servers were blessed and sent forth to be hopeful and faithful witnesses of Christ in their respective communities. The total number who benefited from this pilgrimage were 200.

🐪 4. Outstation Pastoral Visits
The priests and the team visited the outstations of Gobore, Lekochula, and Dogo Manyatta this month. Baptisms, catechesis, and spiritual conversations filled the days. We thank the catechists and local leaders who continue supporting the faith in remote areas. Let us pray for vocations and more evangelizers in our mission.

🙌 5. Catechist Formation Begins
This April, was the second Monthly Catechist Ongoing Formation Program. The main topic covered was, "The Bible as the Foundation of Catechesis" with subtopics. This is now the second month we are having the Catechists ongoing formation at Don Bosco Mission Korr Parish. We encourage the catechists to attend these monthly reflections and equip themselves for better service.

We thank the Diocesan PMC office and all participants for their dedication and missionary zeal for our young Church.

🛠️ Appeal: Help Furnish the New Priest’s House in Ngurunit

As we joyfully prepare for the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians and the Consecration of the new Parish in Ngurunit on Sunday 25th May 2025, we kindly appeal to all well-wishers, families, friends, and members of our parish to support the furnishing of the new priest's house. Your contribution—no matter how small—will help create a welcoming, dignified, and pastoral home for our priest. Let us come together as one family in faith to make this celebration truly special and spiritually fruitful.
